INTRODUCTION
Allow
me to introduce myself. I am Katheryn Freeberg: author, publisher, editor, web
developer and consultant for Vision-Quest Publishing
in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I
am developing this ebook from a seminar I presented
for Barnes and Noble due to the great demand
from potential and heretofore undiscovered authors and
publishers.
I
receive about twenty calls a week from people asking
me questions regarding the topics covered in this
publication. In
all truth, the publication of this FREE ebook is
somewhat a matter of self-preservation; as I do not
desire to discourage any writer from their vision,
while at the same time, I am unable to provide free
consulting eight hours a day.
It is much to my relief that I will soon be
able to direct an individual to download this
publication from our web.
Among
the referenced calls, most of them begin: “Can
you tell me how to get my book published?” It is amusing to me to think that I have never called my
automobile mechanic and asked him how to install a
transmission. With
that said, please understand I mean no disparagement;
it just continually amazes me that in this widely
technological age, so few people have the
simple, straight story on the very basics of
publishing and marketing a successful book.
There is much hype available for the purpose of
selling wares, many publishers with “secret
formulas” at high prices, and illusive promises for
fame in abundance.
What
you will read in the following pages has been
oftentimes painfully gleaned by your’s truly;
not by striking gold, but by making many mistakes!
Please help yourself to the wisdom I have
purchased at a great price over many years.
This
book is a practical, applicable summary of
“…how do I get my book published.”
